Keeping conversations on philanthropy going through digital platforms

The Conversations on African Philanthropy podcast continues to capture voices driving transformation across the continent. Each episode brings together leaders, practitioners, and changemakers whose work advances knowledge, builds community, and deepens Africa’s culture of giving.

This year, the podcast has grown into a cornerstone resource for the sector, with dozens of new episodes. Highlights include:

  • The 6th African Philanthropy Series, which features reflections on sustainable financing in the Majority World.
  • The Women Writers Circle series, recorded on the margins of an inaugural women’s writing retreat, supported by Adɔyɛ
  • African Social Movements Baraza Series, featuring conversations with social movement leaders on solidarity and civic action.
  • Conversation with Darren Walker, the outgoing president of the Ford Foundation who reflected on his career, African philanthropy, and the future of global giving.

53 podcast episodes were recorded, convening conversations around themes including:
