Dr Asiphe Mxalisa

Dr Asiphe Mxalisa is a political analyst, researcher, and academic joining Wits Business School as a Principal Researcher. She holds a PhD from Rhodes University and has extensive experience in higher education, governance, public policy, and political research. Her work focuses on democracy, leadership, gender, and institutional transformation, with a commitment to advancing inclusive governance and evidence-informed policymaking. Beyond academia, she is a regular political commentator on national radio and television and actively contributes to public policy and leadership dialogues. She is passionate about producing intersectional research that informs policy, strengthens institutions, and advances sustainable development across Africa.
